This is my personal website. It’s kind of like a a blog, except I don’t organize pages by date. You can navigate the site with the sidebar (at the top on narrow displays) or check the sitemap for more of a bird’s-eye view.

The subtitle “possums considered harmful” is a jab at a created by Uriel, who wrote the original code for the backend I use for this site. That site’s name is a jab at the name of a presentation at a USENIX conference given in the 80s.

The backend of this site is a slightly hacked up version of werc, an esoteric content management system written in rc, the plan 9 shell language. Every page you read was stuck together from several files using stuff like sed and awk, and the code for most of the articles is generated directly by running the markdown command. I use an implementation of Markdown called discount.

The server itself is a free ARM server from Oracle running FreeBSD.

Yes, the background is stolen from Slackware.
