Much like a Walmart, an AI datacenter tends to milk dry the local society and economy of whatever town you plop one down in.
I have seen some software developers admit they completely forget how to do the one thing they’re supposedly good at the moment their Internet goes down and they lose Copilot. Fucking shit devs can’t even code anymore.
Gen AI chatbots have a niche in which they excel: protecting you from the fuckheads on stack overflow and reddit. All the unrealiability and none of the snark. Godspeed.
Gen AI seems to make its frequent users stupider. Unsurprisingly it is peddled and pushed mostly by extremely rich high-profile men who would likely benefit from the general populace being stupider.
